Before we begin, we measure the floor and give you a free estimate for a price by the square foot. Then we start by countersinking any nails that have to be sunk, and our installers grind the old floor surface to remove any old stains to get down to new material. The floor is sanded to a fine finish and then buffed. A stain or clear polymer is used to finish and seal the floor.
The finish is buffed between each coat. We usually apply three coats but can do additional coats at the client's request. Various stains, semi-gloss, and gloss finishes are available. Upon request, we also trim all doors to hang at the proper height from the floor and install baseboards and moldings, too. If necessary, we will also move appliances to install your new flooring.
